Character:
Purple red powder with strong coloring power. It is purple-red when in contact with concentrated sulfuric acid, and becomes blue-red precipitate after dilution. It is brown-red when in contact with concentrated nitric acid, and red when in contact with sodium hydroxide. Good light and heat resistance. Poor acid and alkali resistance.
