Lee & Man Chemical was established in 2006 and was separated from the listed company "Lee & Man Group Limited" in June 2011, and the group name was changed to "Lee & Man Chemical Limited". At present, the company has invested in the construction of two chemical production bases in China: Changshu, Jiangsu and Ruichang, Jiangxi. It is mainly engaged in the production and research and development of chlorine chemicals, fluorine chemicals and polymer materials. The company and Hong Kong Baptist University jointly established the "Hong Kong Baptist University Changshu Research Institute" and set up the company's R&D department here. The institute is located in the Science and Technology Innovation Park of Changshu Economic and Technological Development Zone, a national-level economic and technological development zone, with a total investment of HK$43 million and a construction area of ​​6,819.2 square meters. There are 21 laboratories in the building, including analytical laboratories, precision instrument rooms, and microbiological laboratories, equipped with advanced instruments and equipment such as nuclear magnetic resonance, GC-MS, LC-MS, near-infrared detectors, DSC, and scanning electron microscopes. The company's R&D department has a R&D team headed by Professor Chen Xinzhi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, led by a number of professors and researchers with doctoral and master's degrees, to carry out scientific research in new chemical materials, new technologies, and new processes. After years of research, we have obtained a number of patents such as "Methods for the synthesis of perfluoroalkyl iodides catalysts", and have made breakthroughs in the synthesis of fluorinated organic compounds and fluorinated surfactants.
